Our 5-Step Professional Packing Process

We don’t just throw a label on a box. We treat every piece of refurbished food processing machinery like it’s a high-value asset.

Step 1: Industrial Palletising

Most damage occurs when equipment shifts during transit or when it ie being loaded or unloaded from trucks. We use commercial( industrial) pallets & where necessary also put additional wooden wedges and bolts into the pallet.

Step 2: Foam Protection & or Padding

Cardboard isn’t enough for the rigours of LTL freight shipping. We cover screens and or fragile components and glass with foam protection and or padding.

Step 3 Pallet Wrap

To protect and help shield your. machinery from dust and scratches and to keep everything together. We use commercial pallet wrap.

Step 4: Heavy Duty Commercial Ratchet Straps

We only ever use heavy duty commercial ratchet straps. Not inferior plastic or metal strapping. For long-haul nationwide shipping.

Heavy duty ratchet straps help secure equipment to the pallet and help to prevent it from shifting around in the truck trailer. If the truck hits a bump, it can help your machine to stay put.

Step 5: Secure Freight Loading

The final step is the handoff. We only work with vetted freight carriers who understand commercial appliance transport.

We supervise the loading at our warehouse to ensure the crate is strapped down with industrial-grade ratchets or tie downs, ensuring it won’t tip or slide during the journey to their freight depot.

For heavy items like used commercial ranges or spiral mixers, we bolt the equipment directly to the pallet frame.

Understanding Freight: Liftgates, Tailgates and Delivery

We can partner with you to help you ensure your freight process for your nationwide delivery is as simple & straight forward as possible.

Ensuring your booking has the correct delivery truck delivering you r equipment based on your specific business location.

Loading Dock: Does your business premises have a loading dock?

Liftgate – Tailgate Delivery: If you’re a street-level bakery or restaurant, and you do not have access to a forklift.

You will need to let us know so that we can inform the freight provider when obtaining a freight quote on your behalf as you will require a lift gate – tailgate delivery.

The delivery truck will nee equipped with a hydraulic liftgate to safely lower your equipment to the street level. They will also require an electric pallet jack so that they can safely move your machinery.

Limited Access: Shipping to a ghost kitchen or a small-town main street?

You will need to let us know beforehand so that we can discuss this with the freight provider to ensure that they have a suitable truck for your freight delivery.

How to Protect Your Investment

Custom Heavy Duty Crating – Casing

For high-ticket items, you can also look to engage the services of a custom wooden crate provider, who can build you a wooden crate to ensure your equipment can fit snug inside.

Although not a requirement for haulage and the vast majority of our customers have never engaged in the services of a custom crate – case producer. It is definitely the safest way of transporting equipment. Particularly for overseas shipments.
