The Vincent CP-6 Screw Press is manufactured in Tampa, Florida, USA.

While some specialised components or raw materials may be sourced globally, the engineering, heavy fabrication, assembly, and testing of the CP-6 model are performed in-house at their Florida factory.

It is typically constructed from 304 stainless steel, ensuring it meets food-grade and industrial corrosion standards.

Equipment Design:

Design: Unlike larger industrial models, the CP series is designed to be more affordable and easier to maintain for smaller-scale juice extraction.

Legacy: This specific line has been the “bread and butter” of the company’s manufacturing floor for decades, benefiting from the engineering expertise centralised in their Tampa headquarters.

CP Series Presses

• It was in early 1994 that Vincent began work on the CP-4 Mini-Press.
• Since then the model has gone through a series of production releases, each incorporating a number of improvements.
• This success led to larger scale versions, the CP-6, CP-10 and CP-12.
• These presses carry the same throughput capacity as the models on which they were based, the VP Series.
• The CP Series screw presses are considerably less expensive than the VP’s.
• The reason is that many of the features and options of the VP presses are not available in the CP Series.
• For example, the CP presses do not have dewatering screens either in the inlet hopper or on the discharge cone. Also, the CP presses are not available with the rotating cone option..
• This eliminates belts, sheaves, a belt guard, a coupling with its guard, and even a pillow block bearing.
• It also shortens the overall length of the machine.
• The Series CP presses have two especially attractive features.
• First of all, they come with wedgewire screens.
• Narrow slots which allow finer filtration
• In addition the wedgewire is much stronger than perforated metal.
• Secondly, the Series CP presses have a unitized collection pan and horizontal frame.
• This allows for a very rugged, all stainless steel, construction.

Operating Guide – CP-6 thru CP-12 Presses

Overview

The Vincent KP Press consists of a screw rotating within a screen housing, a flanged inlet hopper, and a discharge opening.

At the discharge end, the mouth of the screen housing is closed by a pneumatically actuated cone which moves back and forth on the screw shaft in proportion to the internal pressure in the screen frame.

This motion is opposed by the cone cylinder thrust, thereby regulating the discharge of solids.

An air regulator is provided to adjust the pressure on the cone.

The liquids, which are squeezed from the wet product, escape through the screen housing and are caught in a built-in pan under the screen.

The screw is driven by a fixed speed electric motor that is C-face mounted to a gearbox.

The gearbox reduces the RPM from the typical 1750 RPM output of the motor to an appropriate speed for the application, 5 – 50 RPM.

The hollow bore gearbox mounts directly on the screw shaft and is flange mounted to the machine.

The numbers in the model designation stand for the nominal diameter of the screw in inches.

These include interrupted or continuous flighted screws, conical screws where the shaft increases in diameter, different shape inlet hoppers, different style cones, etc.

As a result, not all the information contained in this manual will apply to your press.
